Wedding Stars

June 12, 2011

Like a double star in the night sky
They sparkle in their joy
And bathe us in the light of their happiness.
They are joined now in a perpetual mutual orbit,
Drawing strength, light and heat from one another,
Individual but not alone, separate but not apart,
Together in a celestial harmony that reinforces their bond.
Their mutual attraction intensifies the heat between them
In the intimate dance of their gravity.
Yet their pull to each other does not exclude us either.
For their force draws us in
And we are a part of them
And they are a part of us
And all are illuminated from without and within.
These are our stars, Bride and Groom,
And they shine as the finest points of light,
And give hope, and give love.
And they let us know
That we live in an unfathomable universe
Of wonder and delight.
